Mission Statement

Our Lady of Charity is a diverse parish community of Roman Catholics from Brookhaven, Upland, Parkside, and portions of Chester and Middletown Townships.  Baptized into Christ Jesus and confirmed by the gift of the Holy Spirit, we desire to share the Light of Christ with all by proclaiming the Gospel with our lives.

We strive to fulfil our parish mission by committing ourselves to:

Worship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through the Eucharist, the celebration of the other sacraments, and varied prayer experiences.

Christian Community by promoting unity and loving concern for one another through out liturgical celebrations, social events, parish committees, and parish organizations.

Evangelization by encouraging our neighbors to share our faith through personal witness and hospitality.

Teaching by providing instruction in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ through our church, school, CCD, and adult education programs.

Service by providing spiritual comfort to the bereaved, to homebound parishioners, to the sick in Crozer-Chester Medical Center and other facilities, and by providing aid to those in need through various volunteer parish and school programs.

Because we are identified as Our Lady of Charity parish we have a special responsibility to create a loving community that includes not only ourselves but also our neighbors.

We pray with confidence to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, through the intercession of Mary, Our Lady of Charity, that we will continue to respond to our call to be a generous, warm, welcoming faith community.
