General Parish Information

Office Hours:  The Rectory office is open Monday thru Friday, 9:00am to 12:00noon and 1:00pm to 4:30pm.  Emergencies are handled at any time.  Appointments for other times may be made during regular business hours.

New Parishioners: Welcome to all Catholics who move within our boundaries, and thereby become members of our parish.  Please visit the Rectory to register after any Sunday Mass.  For Non-Catholics who wish to join our parish, we offer the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA).  We meet Sundays, October thru May.  Please contact the Rectory, if you are interested.

Religious Education:  Our Lady of Charity School serves grades 1 thru 8, pre-school and kindergarten.  Religious Education Classes for students in public schools are held Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 7:45pm; September thru May, for grades Kindergarten thru Jr. High.

Letters of Eligibility:  If you are asked to be a sponsor for Baptism or Confirmation, visit the Rectory to see a priest after any Sunday Mass, Or call for an appointment.

Baptism:  The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated the first and third Sundays of the month at 1:00pm, except during Lent.  Parents are required to attend a pre-Baptism class on the second Monday each month.  Godparents are encouraged to do so.  This can be done before the child is born.  Baptismal dates are arranged at this time.

Penance:  The Sacrament of Penance (Confession) is celebrated Saturdays, eves of Holydays, and eves of First Fridays, 4:00pm to 5:00pm.   The parish also holds Communal Penance Services during Advent and Lent.

Matrimony:  Wedding arrangements must be made at least six months in advance.  When you meet with the priest, he will give information about the required pre-marriage classes and other requirements.

Anointing of the Sick:  The sick may be anointed at any time during an illness.  Please do not wait until the patient is critical or unconscious.  You may stop in the Rectory or Church to see a priest before going in for scheduled surgery.  Please notify the Rectory of any serious illness in your family, including admission to a hospital.

Holy Communion is brought to our homebound weekly by Eucharistic Ministers, and monthly by our priests.  If you, or one of your family, is unable to attend Mass, please let us know.  Emergency calls to the Rectory receive immediate attention, day or night.
